My greatest fear for our nation under the new change paradigm is the complete death of reason and useful; honest debate in the public square, and the policies that will come as a result. Here in Detroit we are preparing for the annual North American Auto Show, a celebration of an industry that has done more to keep the American spirit alive and well than any other. It is that feeling of freedom that comes with auto ownership, and the secure knowledge that you can go anywhere you want at a moments notice in a nation without internal borders that serves as a constant reminder of limitless opportunity.

Anyone who says that it is a waste of time to read American era history from antiquarian (antique) books is missing a great history resource. Antiquarian books are a rich source of historical information that is unfettered and undiluted by modern historical researchers. Its a pleasure to read a history book that is not just another repetition of facts and figures and a sequence of events like every other book on a given subject, and that is not full of politically correct platitudes.
