AIG Snubs Congress Posted By : TWoPolitics

Insurance company AIG received $170 billion federal bailout money and now they intend to pay out $160 million in bonuses. Edward Liddy, AIG chairman, claims these bonuses are necessary to attract and retain the best and brightest.

As everybody knows, every year in March Dublin hosts the St Patricks day festival, a religious feast and a great chance to have fun on the cities streets. What you might not know, however, is that the celebrations in honour of the saint take place also in many other countries, from US to Australia, from Canada to Europe. One of the cities where this typical Irish feast is particularly heart-felt and celebrated in an enthusiastic way is the nearby London, which every year hosts a festival, a parade and many other events which take inspiration from Irish culture.

Texas Considers Lifting Restrictions on Alcohol Laws to Raise Revenue Posted By : Tony R. Bertolino

Texas Governor Rick Perry recently declared that he would not be accepting $555 million of the funds that the U.S. federal government offered through its stimulus package. Specifically, Gov. Perry joins several other state executives in fighting the changes that would need to be made to state unemployment laws if the stimulus money was accepted.

Can the Housing Market be Stablized? Posted By : real estate articles

While the Dallas market has been fortunate that foreclosures have not overwhelmed the housing market and for now prices are holding steady. But it is a widely held belief that the economy went down with the real estate market and it won’t make a comeback until housing can be stabilized. As the nation waits to hear President Obama’s plan to help struggling homeowners, many analysts have differing ideas of just how that should be done.
