This article examines some recent political events where some politicians have called honest American citizens as racists for simply having a difference of opinion with these politicians. By stooping so low to call citizens racists for simply having a different opinion, these politicians denigrate the heroic efforts of those that fought the real racists during the civil rights era, as opposed to today’s Americans celebrating their freedom by having a difference of opinion.

It finds that while most of the world is focusing on reducing government debt and spending to jump start their economies, the United States is one of the few countries that is still expanding government spending and debt with no positive effects. The author provides some suggestions as first steps for the U.S. to implement to start the inevitable reduction in gvoernment spending.
