A draft amendment regarding Chinas criminal law was submitted to the National Peoples Congress today, requesting the elimination of capital punishment for 13 economic-related nonviolent offenses.

This articel reviews the perfomance of the American political class over the past twenty years. During this time, both parties took turns controlling Congress or the White House. Unfortunatley, the article conldues that the political class deserves a failing grade for their perofrmance during this time since no major issues were resolved and many continued to get worse. the article concludes with steps that need to be taken in order to not repeat this performance in the next twenty years.

It is hard to believe that liberal politicians and media are saying that those who oppose the mosque at Ground Zero are using the issue to divert attention away from real issues like the economy. They have labeled the naysayers as Islamophobes: a term that has less meaning today than ever before.

I am no hashish smoker and I am not even restating the famous Marx saying that religion is the opium of the people. To each his own belief, poison, delusion or fantasy though I do know this can be a luxury in Africa where tyrants can ban Christmas, declare Christianity a crime, proclaim Islam a religion of slave drivers. I am proudly saying thank God I am not religious, with what that implies not escaping me, because far too many crimes and foolishness of grave proportions are being committed in the name of religion. I am also aware that religion is being used as a convenient cover to shun away from politics and ignore ones responsibilities to the country and the people.
